How to Remove Wild Turkey Legs for Shredded Turkey Meat
Cooking up your wild turkey legs hasn't ever been easier! With this recipe, we slow cook the legs until they are fall off the bone tender, perfect for shredding. What you end up with is rich, flavorful shredded turkey meat that you can throw in all kinds of recipes, such as enchiladas, soups, chili, casseroles, nachos, etc!
Pat turkey legs dry with paper towels. Trim off any silverskin.
Coat surface of legs well with High Caliber Chipotle Garlic seasoning.
Place legs in slow cooker and pour chicken broth over the meat.
Place lid on slow cooker and cook on HIGH for 8 hours, or until the meat is starting to separate and fall off the bone.
Be careful and remove any tendons or small bones from meat/slow cooker.
Using two forks, shred the meat into bite sized pieces.
